About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Excavation Foreman to lead a crew. Must have good communication skills and know how to run a jobsite. 3+ years of related experience desired. We offer Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance as well as paid time off.
Requirements
Daily reporting of work performed and progress of job, as well as who and what was on the job including machinery.
Having a sense of direction, daily goals, as well as what’s expected of the crews daily.
Delegating tasks to crew members and following up to ensure quality and progress.
Clear communication of expectations set with operators and laborers.
Daily preventative maintenance on machinery
Minimizing waste of supplies, pipe, parts etc. and being mindful of job budget.
Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames. Ensures the project has all materials needed.
Ability to operate heavy machinery.
Experience installing sewer lines, water lines, storm drain, dry utilities, and building excavation.
Ability to read and understand plans.
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
Ability to operate heavy machinery.
Knowledge of excavation procedures and techniques.
Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Able to complete physically demanding work.
